SeRah Ashwell is a multidisciplinary artist originally from Nashville, TN. Her Durham debut Coronation of the Descendants is a body of work that was showcased at The Carrack and Reynolds Gallery at Duke. SeRah recently began working with local theatre spaces to create original work for theatrical productions. Her current commissions include a body of portraiture for Torry Bends tour of “Dreaming,” and sculptural work for Cary Art Centers production of “Coming Back for Me.” Her personal body of work centers around her own consistent wresting with ideals and forms of “God” and Mother Culture. She holds a BFA in Digital Design.
